We went to one of our favorite photographic venues, the top of the Ringling Causeway Bridge overlooking Sarasota's bayfront and yacht harbor, to try our first hand at fireworks photography. It was a beautiful evening with a cool breeze off the Gulf of Mexico, but storm clouds gathered over the mainland as a possible threat to the festivities. As it turned out, the breeze kept the storm clouds at bay while providing a dramatic backdrop for the fireworks display.
